As the year 2020 draws to a close, we gather on the Winter Solstice for a precious moment of reflecting, blessing, integrating, visioning, journeying...
​
We will explore ancient schools of wisdom — alchemy, shamanism, astrology — and what they can teach us for the times we are living. We will journey with sound and explore the energy of this Solstice, the synchronicities in the sky, the universal symbology of the arc of time we are part of, and the powerful opportunities awaiting our personal and collective evolution.
​
According to some traditions, on Winter Solstice the the veil between humans and spirits is thinnest. We will take this opportunity to honor those we have lost during the pandemic, as well as the forests, animals, and homes decimated by the devastating wildfires in the Pacific Northwest, to honor those who are fighting to end racial injustice and inequality in the world, as well as any kind of loss you might have encountered — the loss of a dear one, of a human connection, of a dream, of a relationship, of a life-style...

This Solstice will be all the more powerful as a very special conjunction will take place on that day in the sky, a rare astrological event which may signify new openings, new opportunities, deep transformation at both the personal and collective levels. This ceremony will therefore also be a chance to tune ourselves to the vision we want to manifest and set out energy to embrace the outcome.

MetaMusic means beyond what is considered music, or beyond what so far we have consider music. In this context, music becomes experiential, functional, a metaphor of life; and it carries healing, inner guidance, and deep transformative properties.​
In these MetaMusic Conversations, Laura interacts with musicians, ceremonial sound practitioners, shamans, sound healers, and therapists deeply rooted in their traditions and practices. Together they open views that offer different perspectives on how to use music as a powerful tool for self-exploration, deep transformation, and healing.​​

This is a 3-Part Introductory Course on the use of sound and music as tools for self-exploration, healing, and sacred ceremony. MetaMusic means beyond music. This comprehensive body of work is the compendium of Laura Inserra's 30+ years of studies and initiations in ancient traditions and modern schools of wisdoms like Alchemy, Mythology, Psychology, Tantra, Shamanism, Folk and Classical Music as well as the direct observation of Mother Nature. All of this have informed and formed her years of work as a musician and sound therapist, both in one-on-one and group sessions.

We are glad to announce a new season of Shelter in Music, starting this Friday, May 15th, at 8pm Pacific Time.
Every Friday for 12 weeks, Laura Inserra will be offering a sound journey dedicated to a specific theme and quest, all contributing to Self~Exploration and Well~Being.
​
The livestream will be donation based and an edited version will be available afterwards on Laura's website for a suggested fee. There you can also watch for free the 12+ episodes of Season One plus the Sound Ceremonies.
We want also to share with you we have been resuming our individual sound therapy sessions which we can now offer online. In those Resonant Healing sessions, Laura uses a blend of sound healing, shamanic techniques, and wisdom schools to address the specific needs and inquiries of the person or a group. We are so pleased to see that despite not being in each other’s presence, we are able to achieve major benefits from these sessions - releasing burdens and anxiety, facilitating wellbeing, finding inner guidance, deepening our Self-discovery.

In 1998, Nash Tavewa met Guillermo Martinez a renowned Native American Flute and Drum maker. For 4 years, he apprenticed under Guillermo Martinez where he learned to make Native American Flutes and Drums. Since then he has mastered and refined the craft and, as a young adult, he has great appreciation for his heritageis.
